3nights in room 23, excellent large room,bed a shower, beautiful breakfast set us up for a day touring from this ideally situated hotel. We will be returning as it was a excellent break

A lovely sunday lunch, excellent craic with the staff, they only had chicken on today but it was lovely, a plump chicken breast with crispy skin just as i like it!! Complimented by a bottle of the house Sauvignon blanc, definitely worth a visit
The staff make this place what is. When we checked in, they were being kept busy by some VIP guests but did that mean we were treated any less importantly? No. Every morning we were greeted with jolly smiles and genuine interest in what were up to that day. Upon our return from said activity someone again was on hand to pour us a pint to soothe aching bones and to ask how our day went. We dined in the restaurant 3 times and the food was fantastic every time. Rooms were perfectly comfortable but are a little tired and floorboards creaked which was especially annoying for partners when getting up in the night. That said, it should be remembered that the building is several hundred years old. Our stay was 6 nights and we left feeling like part of a family rather than just mere guests. Special shout out to Debbie, Jade and James who are a real credit to the business.
Had a family room as we had dog with us people were commenting about the rooms being cold ours was warm enough I think the one in the courtyard may have been .the staff are brilliant and very friendly give the place a try
Dog friendly. Room across the way. Loads of dogs and walkers. Lovely staff. Got some local knowledge from them. (Getting to Holy Island) Nice room. Warm and comfortable. Food was brilliant. Evening meal and Brekkie. Treat the dog like a friend!!
